Song-semble will take place at the KSM Extension near the heart of Cookeville - address given after registration.

Class dates: Mondays, 6:00-7:00 pm - July 29, August 5, 12, 19, 26, September 9 - 6:00-7:00 pm, AND Friday September 13 - 5:00-6:00 pm

Don’t read music? You don’t need to!

This season of Song-semble will explore melodies and harmonies by ear. You’ll learn easy parts first, then as the group grows together, we’ll layer harmonies on top of one another gradually.

This is the oldest way to learn music, with our oldest instrument.

The classes will culminate in a performance at the KSM Fall Recital held at the Cookeville Performing Arts Center.

You won’t want to miss this performance with your group!

All music arrangements are written to have levels of challenge for each singer. So if you want to stay in the shallow end of the pool, you can! And when you feel more comfortable and want to venture into the deep end, there are lush harmonies you can try!

Soñée Newman was born and raised in Southeast Pennsylvania. She grew up in a small community of faith and music. She began her musical journey in the womb as her parents, grandparents, and other family sang and played music.

Soñée has had the privilege of taking private vocal training from Dr. Lloyd Mallory. He is currently the executive director of Choral Activities at Talladega College in Alabama.
