Acoustic Guitar Recommendations

Guitars come in different sizes. Be sure to order the correct size for your student!

Size chart based on age:
5-7 years old - 1/2 size
8-11 years old - 3/4 size
12 years old and up - full size
Smaller adults may like a 00 or 000 size, or a Taylor Mini (like Kat Starr plays!).

  • Purchase a guitar online from the Size chart above.

  • Purchase a guitar locally from Crossroads Music, OR

  • Purchase a guitar with the help of an experienced Sweet Water rep.

• Case - search for a case with the same size as the guitar you purchase.

• Music stand

• Tuner

• Picks - ask your teacher for a recommendation based on your style!

• Capo

Eventually you will also need:

• Replacement strings - ask your teacher for the correct kind.

• String winder/cutter
